Last July, 30 students from a variety of classes spent three weeks in Maryville College in Maryville, Tennessee, gaining an enriching experience for their life that let them grow up as responsible and independent individuals. In addition, they could use the English language to interact with natives in real-life situations and learn from the American culture by experience.
Our students stayed in Maryville College campus and attended English classes every morning apart from going to the gym and practising a number of sports. Afterwards, they visited loads of sights such as the Lost Sea- a walking tour of underground caves, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Gattinburg and the city of Knoxville.
In Knoxville, they visited West Town Mall- Knoxville's largest mall as well as they went sightseeing in the city. In Tennessee, they enjoyed themselves in an exciting amusement park called Dollywood.
In Atlanta, they visited the CNN TV Station, the Hard Rock café, Martin Luther King Centre and the Stone Mountains. They enjoyed horseback riding and cotton-eyed Joes country dancing, as well.
Once in Washington, our students were able to see the White House, the U.S. Capitol Building, visited the Lincoln Memorial, the Smithsonian Museums and other interesting places. Also, they did white-water rafting and went to the Oak Ridge National Labs and visited the Atomic Energy Museum.
At last, they travelled to the largest and most visited recreational resort in the world: Disneyworld.
